GUS POYET says it’s impossible to pick between his two derby triumphs at St James’s Park.

Poyet continued his Midas touch against Newcastle in today’s Tyne-Wear derby, with the Sunderland head coach maintaining his 100 per cent record as a manager against the Magpies.

The Uruguayan has overseen three of Sunderland’s record four wins on the spin against Newcastle - the last two of which have been on Tyneside.

But after Adam Johnson’s last-minute winner consigned Newcastle to defeat, Poyet was unable to decide whether today’s victory or February’s 3-0 success was sweeter.

Poyet said: “If you ask me right now, it’s difficult for me with the feelings I’ve got.

“If it’s better to win 3-0 or to win a game by scoring in the last minute, I don’t know which one to pick.

“It’s going to be a special week for us, but, like I said, you have to have respect.

“I think the fans of both teams were fantastic today, no incidents, I suppose, so everything is going well, which is great for football.”
