STEVE Bruce has hailed the return of the Fantastic Four ahead of Sunderland’s game against Liverpool tomorrow.
But he admitted that fifth man Fraizer Campbell will have to wait a little longer to come in from the cold.
Nedum Onuoha, Bolo Zenden, Danny Welbeck and skipper Lee Cattermole are all expected to be available for Sunday’s game against Liverpool after spells out with injury and Bruce admits he is delighted by their return.
“You’re talking about four players who have been fantastic for us this season and, of course, it’s going to be great for us to have them back in the squad again,” he said.
“I expect all of them to be included in the squad tomorrow, with the prospect of playing some part in the game at some stage.
“They are all at different levels of fitness and so we’ll have to be careful on exactly how they are used – Nedum and Bolo, for example, are a lot further on than Lee and Danny.
“But we wouldn’t be including them in the squad if they weren’t fit enough to play some sort of role in the game and the fact that they are players we can now call on is going to make a real difference to us in the weeks ahead.
“Having them all back in training this week has created an extra buzz around the place and now we’re very much looking forward to the Liverpool game at the Stadium of Light tomorrow.”
