SUNDERLAND have confirmed the club’s new strip will be manufactured by adidas, with the first glimpse of next season’s shirts coming next month.
The Black Cats will join the likes of AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in being sponsored by the sportswear manufacturer after their previous deal with Umbro came to an end.
Sunderland’s away kit and training wear will be revealed on June 25 before going on sale on July 5, while the home kit will be unveiled on July 18.
Wearsiders chief executive Margaret Byrne said: “We are delighted to welcome adidas as an official partner of Sunderland AFC.
“Our aim is to increase Sunderland’s international profile and, as one of the world leaders in their field, we are very much looking forward to working with the dynamic team at adidas.
“New home and away kits will be unveiled in the coming weeks and launched later in the summer and I’m confident that our supporters will be as impressed as we are with everything that adidas has to offer.”
Sunderland are also due to announce a new shirt sponsor for next season.
