Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens is wanted by former Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat.

The 68-year-old has agreed a "deal in principle" with Turkish club Fenerbahce after he resigned as assistant to Netherlands manager Danny Blind after just three months.

And he is targeting a move for Lens, who Advocaat signed for Sunderland last summer, with a reported season-long loan a possibility.

Sunderland spent an initial £8million on the winger last summer but he struggled to hold down a regular place in the side under Sam Allardyce, while he started the new season under David Moyes on the bench at Manchester City.

He signed a four-year deal last summer. Advocaat had previously worked with him at PSV Eindhoven.

Advocaat took over at Sunderland in March 2015 and led them to Premier League safety, but quit in October last year after a poor start to the season.

The Dutchman succeeds Vitor Pereira at Fenerbahce, who was sacked after one season in charge.

Meanwhile, Watford's interest in Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul is genuine, with the Hornets keen to sign another centre-back.

The 30-year-old, who has become a key figure in the Sunderland defence, joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur last summer for a fee of £3million.

But Premier League rivals Watford are weighing up a move for the Frenchman, with sources in France claiming they are ready to offer Kaboul a three-year deal.
Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri wants to bring in another centre-back before the end of the transfer window.

Tickets for the clash are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for over 65s and under 16s, while Black Cats Bar tickets are £25.

A club statement said: "Supporters enrolled on the cup payment scheme at the beginning of season do not need to take any action as season cards will be automatically updated with this game.

"Season card holders and Black Cat members have until 5pm Wednesday 17th August to purchase their seat.

"Any unsold season card seats will be released for general sale at 9am Thursday 18th, August."
