DeAndre Yedlin: Too casual on the ball at times but defended well when he had to and cut out some Everton attacks. Keen to get forward. Has played his part in survival...8

Lamine Kone: Superb finish for the second goal. Won't have hit a better shot in his entire life. Scored his second seven minutes after the re-start to seal the club's top flight status..10

Younes Kaboul: Superb. Enjoyed two mazy runs in the first half and almost scored. Defensively he marshalled Lukaku well all night, led from the back. MOM.....10

Patrick van Aanholt: Got a knock from a Matthew Pennington challenge first half but shook it off and scored from a free-kick, wrong-footing Robles in goal. Key goal.....9

Jan Kirchhoff: Had his work cut out keeping an eye on Ross Barkley in the free role. Couple of crunching tackles set the tone and he was given another standing ovation....9

Fabio Borini: Worked hard and pressed the Everton defence. Some heavy touches first half but recovered well to help Sunderland stay up in style....9

Lee Cattermole (C): Real captain's performance once again. Some crunching tackles in the middle of the park. Another standing ovation for the man who has played a crucial role...9

Yann M'Vila: Looked back to his best against Chelsea and carried that into the Everton game. Dictating play in the middle. Allardyce will be keen to make his loan permanent...9
