Sunderland climbed off the foot of the Premier League with a tremendous 2-1 win over defending champions Leicester City.

That’s three wins in a row for David Moyes’ men, going into a crucial trip to Swansea next weekend.

Here’s how SAFC fans reacted on Twitter to today’s win and performance.

@stives_tone: safc winning games ??? Not used to this Climbing up the table !!! Not used to this That said I like it and could get used to it

@andyjez: Get in there! What a result. Brilliant save from Pickford at the end.

@ledredman: I never thought I would see a better SAFC keeper than Monty, but this lad could be the very best

@LewieLaing: Goals win you games but that save from Pickford at the end ensured the 3 points! Get the rave on! Big vic on fire again too!

@lebs: Great result. Pickford just keeps coming up with massive saves. Would prefer if he didn’t have to but where’s the fun in that

@safcmadmike: Get in lads! Brilliant save at the end from Pickford and Anichebe magnificent again! Onwards and upwards!

@JonnyGoldsmith2: Djilobodji’s best performance so far

@christoph_21: That’s a proper performance and a massive win for #SAFC. From 1 to 11 they were excellent today

@KatilaHenri: Great win @SunderlandAFC!! Just hoping that Watmore won’t be out for long..

@nathankew5: Get the rave on , what a performance!

@Dunntom: Phew Get In Safc!!! Don’t half make it difficult

@hewey1976: Great & important win for #SAFC despite the best efforts of Marriner. How clear has a penalty be before he gives it?

@Doreen_McGloomy: Fair play to Moyes as well. I’ve been massively critical of him this season but 9 points out of 12 is some going

@AnthonyJBell: 3 wins in the last 4 from the lads. That’s what we like to see

@max9791: Massive 3 points today and an amazing confidence builder

@joshhardy_: Remember when everyone said we had the worst squad to ever be in the premier league

@bekaharkle: 3 wins in 4 and it’s not even April

@rokerman57: 9 points out of the last 12 haway the lads

@gbogue92: Huge win. PVA incredible. Get the rave on

@Sunlunfan: Worst refereeing performance I’ve seen in a long, long time. We really bloody earned that today

@LBarks72: Beat Swansea next week and things can really look better

@perchorin: Once we’re comfortably safe in January, who fancies making a run in the #FACup as well? Vito won’t get any other games in at this rate

@Beaconsfield74: Well done Moyes and co, setting things up very nicely for our trip to Wales next weekend!

@Scrivener30: Absolutely mint

@RickyReay: Well done to SAFC 9 points from 12 there is hope at the end of a difficult period

@juleseboo: Fantastic result for #safc, the fans singing their hearts out for the lads as usual. Hope Watmore’s injury not too bad.

@Sunderland1879: “Champions of England you’ll never sing that” sing 1 time winners #LCFC to 6 times winners #SAFC

@Petski84: That’ll do nicely Good to see BIG Jan back, Defoe scoring and Pickford doing his thing

@K1LTY11: Swansea game next week is massive. #safc starting to show bottle. Let’s get this done.

@IanSafc77: Nice to have Larsson back. He looked good in MF today. Kirchoff his usual tidy self, if not slightly low on energy. Happy days!

@CarlHawman: The ultimate target man performance from big Vic,sensational

@LBrennan89: And the passion from Pickford after his 95th minute save. Knows what it means to wear that shirt
