Have your say

Sunderland doubled their points tally with a 1-1 Premier League draw against West Bromwich Albion today – but fans are, generally, far from happy.

Patrick van Aanholt came off the bench to cancel out Nacer Chadli’s opener for Tony Pulis’s side, who failed to see out the win.

Here’s how Sunderland supporters – those we could use at least – reacted on Twitter.

@Sputnikdogg: Dross from start to finish. On a positive note I’m off to get hammered

@rstaincliffe1: Utter dross

@Mr_Cookies_45: West Brom were robbed

@LBrennan89: Defence and Midfield all over the place. For once, Moyes’ substitutions seemed to work

@SafcBucky76: That team is not good enough, made worse the fact they are not playing for #moyes #safc worst I’ve seen in a long time #trouble

@KitchingAndy: O’Shea , Ndong and Watmore did well for me. Denayer was poor and Defoe on a off day

@Tommyakki: Some encouraging signs toward the end for #SAFC but there’s still a huge effort required to look like a team that can avoid the drop.

@AnthonyGair: Plenty of calls for Van Aanholt to be played in a more attacking role now.

@petewhalen7: Probably the fair result. No purpose going forward and still very suspect defensively. Not a good result but it’s a point

@ChrisCrampsey: I think this is the first time ever. Rodwell came on and something good happened!?!?!?!!

@bigkbee83: Well 2nd half i thought the lads put a shift in! Surely things r looking up?

@safctinders: Home defeats to Palace and Boro and we’re cheering a home draw against WBA?! Too many lost points, EMBARRASSING

@backdraftblacky: What a great feeling to have two points in Oct

@DogLayer: Showed character there tbf, patchy performance but the spirit is there if confidence is not. Better team overall but need 1st win

@Capt_Fishpaste: Better than nowt but nowhere near enough.

@Relegation_Man: #Safc grab a point and get off the bottom for now... David Moyes avoids a visit from me..

@jayellcs: Okay... that wasn’t brilliant but we came from behind to earn a draw. We don’t do that very often #SAFC #happyish

@NYJetster: Another improved performance today. Khazri looked good, defence looked sound after a shaky start, even Rodwell did okay.

@Robbo_SAFC: I’ve actually just said “well, at least we didn’t get beat” Is that how low it’s become???

@iamdougroper: Doubled our points tally for the season. Wow.

@AveryCockburn: WE! DIDN’T! LOSE! WE! DIDN’T! LOSE! #smallmercies

@JimmyCoverdale: Another disappointing result. Still lacking a solid system & there’s a M’Vila-sized hole in midfield - just all direct at the moment

@LiamSullivan73: At least O’Shea and Khazri did well today and should start every week

@ianthebrush: Two shots on target in 95 minutes at home. Really.

@JDJMcKenna: It was horrific under Di Canio and its never been worse than it was under Wilkinson, but this is dross
