Sam Allardyce to discuss future of Sunderland loanees this week

Sam Allardyce expects to hold talks over the future of Sunderland's loan players this week.

Allardyce's summer overhaul of the Sunderland squad is already underway as he looks to end the annual pattern of relegation battles following the final game of the season at Watford.

The Sunderland manager's first job is to see whether loanees Yann M'Vila, DeAndre Yedlin and Dame N'Doye will be back at the Stadium of Light next season after all featured in the 2-2 draw at Vicarage Road.

M'Vila has made it clear that he wants to return to Sunderland, albeit wages may prove to be an issue with another six months to run on a £100,000 a week-plus contract at Russian club Ruben Kazan.

Right-back Yedlin has improved enormously in the final three months and had made just one appearance for parent club Spurs prior to joining Sunderland last summer.

And while January signing N'Doye's time at Sunderland has been underwhelming, the on-loan Trabzonspor striker was far more effective in his favoured centre-forward role at Watford.

Allardyce: "I have spoken to their agents and said you will be contacted very quickly, in the next few days or so to see what lies.

"We won't worry about that now, we'll enjoy what we achieved.

"We should be talking about Yann M'Vila, DeAndre Yedlin and Dame N'Doye more than anyone (from the Watford game).

"I thought he (N'Doye) played very well (at Watford) and was unlucky to have his goal chalked off.

"We will move as quickly as possible and make sure we make the right decisions."

Sunderland's planning for the summer transfer window has been on hold while the club's Premier League status has been so precarious, albeit head of recruitment Martin Glover has been overseeing scouting trips.

Allardyce has confirmed that he sees a centre-forward, attacking midfielder, winger and full-back as the club's priorities in the transfer market this summer.

But he knows that Sunderland need to get their recruitment right after the January transfer window proved to be such a contributory factor to the Black Cats remaining in the Premier League.

"We have had so much on hold because we didn't know what division we were going to be in," added Allardyce.

"We will have to catch up a bit with those that have been safe for a while.

"We do that as quick as we can and in the end as time goes by, be very thorough in what we do, in every department.

"We have to make sure we make the right decisions rather than the wrong ones."
