STRIKER Mikael Mandron has returned to Sunderland from his loan spell at Fleetwood Town.

Mandron made 13 appearances for the League Two outfit, netting one goal, after joining them on loan in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old was expected to stay with Fleetwood until the end of the season, but the bulk of the academy product’s appearances have been brief outings from the bench.

Mandron, who has appeared in Sunderland Under-21s’ last two games, has now returned to the Stadium of Light.

Meanwhile, Mandron’s U21 team-mate Joel Dixon has joined Boston United until the end of the season.

Sunderland have sent several of their youngsters to Boston this season, with Liam Agnew, Liam Marrs and David Ferguson all featuring for the Skrill Conference North outfit.

Goalkeeper Dixon, who spent a month on loan at Workington earlier this season, has followed them to the Jakemans Stadium.
