A Sunderland XI marked the 125th anniversary of Ebac Northern League First Division club Ryhope CW by winning a friendly 3-1 at Recreation Park last night.

Jack Diamond and two-goal Lee Connelly grabbed the goals for the Black Cats’ youngsters, which all came in the first half.

Matty Weirs notched a second-half consolation for Gary Pearson’s men .
