Sunderland's injury problems are easing, with Lamine Kone and Patrick van Aanholt both back in training.
The Black Cats had nine first team players out injured at the start of the week, with Patrick van Aanholt the latest to be added to the list with an adductor injury picked up in the Stoke City game.
But manager David Moyes has revealed that Kone, who had a hamstring strain and missed the Stoke defeat, and van Aanholt are back training.
Moyes said: "Kone and PVA are training.
"[Vito] Mannone is out doing handling work and Seb [Larsson] is progressing well. Adnan [Januzaj] won't be as long. Catts still out.
"There are signs that they aren't too far away and hopefully we can get them back soon.
"Four or five are on their way back but the only Fabio isn't. It'll be longer than that [weeks]."
