SUNDERLAND can take some heart from their record against Chelsea – six wins in the Premier League era is better than their results against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United at least.

The Black Cats have managed six Premier wins against the Stamford Bridge, most of them memorable, including last season’s 2-1 away win to end Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home league record of 77 games.

Sunderland, though, have not beaten Chelsea in a league match at the Stadium of Light for more than a decade.
