Sunderland may have their first Premier League win of the season but they won't stay up.

That was the cheery message from one of the game's old characters, Harry Redknapp, who says they need the "biggest miracle ever" to survive.

Bottom-placed Sunderland are level on five points with Swansea, the Welsh side clinging on to 19th by courtesy of a better goal difference.

The Black Cats are six points from safety but Saturday's battling 2-1 win at Bournemouth has given the club hope, especially when a view of the table shows that only four points separate ninth (Burnley) and 18th (Hull).

But that has cut no ice with Redknapp who says Sunderland are doomed.

"David needs a miracle to keep this team up, even though they won (against Bournemouth)," said Redknapp on BTSport.

"They're not capable, if they stay up this year it will be the biggest miracle ever."
