STEVE Bruce has targeted four wins from Sunderland’s last seven games to give the club a satisfactory end to the season.
The manager went into today’s game against West Bromwich Albion knowing the club’s campaign could still go either way – a comfortable top 10 finish or a tense relegation battle are both equally plausible scenarios.
But he is hoping beating the Baggies this afternoon will spark a fine flourish to another topsy-turvy campaign on Wearside.
“I want four wins,” Bruce told the Echo.
“Four wins would give us 50 points and I think that would definitely put us in the top half of the table, so that’s got to be the aim.
“It starts with West Brom – and they will be a difficult nut to crack – but I’m not really bothered in what order results come, just so long as they come.”
