Spanish side Espanyol are understood to be keeping tabs on Sunderland's Tunisian forward Wahbi Khazri.
Media outlets in the 25-year-old's home country are reporting that due to a lack of first-team opportunities at the Stadium of Light, Khazri may push for a move in the January transfer window.
Reports say La Liga side Espanyol, managed by former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores, are keeping an eye on Khazri, who has started just one Premier League game this season under David Moyes.
It is also understood that a number of clubs in France could also enter the bidding should Khazri become available in the winter window.
Khazri only joined the club in January from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
After a successful start to life on Wearside, Khazri became a key member of Sam Allardyce's side that managed to stear themselves clear of relegation at the end of last season.
But the landscape has changed since Allardyce left for his short spell as England boss.
Moyes has handed Khazri just five appearances since the summer.
