England were made to work hard for the victory in the last friendly before Roy Hodgson must pick his 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

How did the players get on?

Richard Mennear gives his player ratings below:

England (4-2-3-1)

Fraser Forster: Nervy moment just before Rashford scored could have cost England. Settled into the game after that. Made a good save from Kruse second-half.....6

Nathaniel Clyne: Steady enough at full-back, got forward when the opportunity arose. More of an attacking threat second half......6

Chris Smalling (C): Had a busy night, busier than he would have liked. The best defender.....7

John Stones: Not convincing at the back, looked nervous. Grew into the game but the backline were put under too much pressure due to weak midfield in front......6

Ryan Bertrand: England almost scored from one of his free-kicks but Henderson saw shot tipped over from his pass. Average aside from that......6

Jordan Henderson: Played on the right-hand side of the midfield three, showed some nice touches as he makes his way back to full fitness. Got a great reception.....6

Jack Wilshere: Didn't do much to catch the eye, spent a fair bit of time running towards his own goal. Subbed at half-time. Poor......5

Danny Drinkwater: Didn't provide enough cover for back four. The midfield must be a major worry for Hodgson.....5

Raheem Sterling: Involved in both goals, including a well-executed assist for the second. England didn't look convincing in the wide areas though, a big problem for Hodgson...6

Adam Lallana: Didn't get on the ball enough to make a positive impact. The system was fluid in the opening minutes. Did little to impress. Poor....5

Marcus Rashford: Superb finish three minutes into his debut to give England the lead. Looked lively and a threat, will surely be on the plane to Euro 2016. First touch needs to improve though. MOM.....8
