Emanuele Giaccherini's agent says the winger has no regrets about leaving Sunderland for Napoli in the summer despite his lack of game time.
Giaccherini joined Napoli in the summer on a three-year contract in a £2million deal but has only made four appearances for the Italian side.
Agent Furio Valcareggi said: "Giaccherini is fine, he is happy to stay in Naples. He wants to play and prove himself in training.
"Let’s wait, however, there is not a shred of regret for our choice.
"This three-year period in Naples will be nice."
The 31-year-old spent last season on loan with Serie A side Bologna, who were strongly linked with a summer move for the winger who starred for Italy at Euro 2016.
Giaccherini's future had been the subject of constant speculation throughout the summer after a number of Italian clubs have been vying to sign the midfielder on a permanent basis.
Sunderland were always ready to let the 31-year-old leave the club after he had spent last season on loan at Bologna and only had 12 months remaining on a £40,000 a week contract at the Stadium of Light.
Giaccherini made just 32 Premier League appearances for Sunderland - only 18 of which were starts - after arriving in a £6.5m move from Juventus in the summer of 2013.
