Echo Jury: Kieran Kirby looks at whether the rejuvenated Black Cats can return from Chelsea with a point or three

Have your say

A VERY hard game but a game we’ll go into with great confidence. It will be interesting to see if Bendtner comes back into the side. I would play him as, despite his faults, he can hold the ball up and that will be vital against Chelsea.

They will, more than likely, have more possession than us so when we do get possession we have to make the most of it.

We’ve been sound defensively of late with O’Shea performing excellently alongside the rejuvenated Kilagallon, and they’ll need to continue that against a good 0chelsea attack.

Recently, we’ve been counter attacking very well and I think Chelsea will be aware of that, although stopping it is another matter. With McClean, Sess and Bendtner, we did it fantastically well against Wigan.

More of the same would be nice as would a continuation of Lee Cattermole’s superb form. What Martin O’Neill has done to him I don’t know but it’s certainly working.

We’ve never lost by more than one goal this season and I can see this being close as well. I really fancy us to come away with a point. A repeat of last season’s score would be very welcome though!

Prediction: Chelsea 1 Sunderland 1.
