AFTER our recent defensive performances, I gave us no chance against title challengers Arsenal.
But we defended like we did earlier in the season and came away with an excellent point. We might even have nicked it but for a great save by Szczesny.
It was a good team performance and, although we were put under quite a bit of pressure, we dealt well with what Arsenal threw at us.
With the Liverpool match not for another two weeks, we might be able to get a couple of the players out injured back in contention. It was good to see Welbeck back on the bench and come on and almost score. We have missed him more than most and hopefully he will start against Liverpool.
Muntari had his best game yet for us. He added some much-needed bite in the midfield.
The defence was pretty solid and, although we might have been lucky to get away with the penalty and the offside, we were worthy of a point.
Those decisions all even out at the end of the season, but it makes it all the better when they happen to Arsene Wenger.
All in all, it was a good point which I certainly didn’t expect, and we now have another break before the Liverpool match.
