Have your say

They say the definition of insanity, is doing the same thing, over and over, and expecting a different result.

Our last two games have both gone the same way, and both have ended with the same result.

One goal up with only minutes to go, and we walk away with a point instead of all three.

It seems we sit too deep while defending a slim margin, and although Sam Allardyce is screaming at them to push up, we do not.

Why? Because Sam has pounded it into them that clean sheets are what we are trying to accomplish.

Having to make the necessary substitutions due to tiredness etc, the team reacts by falling deeper and deeper, and allows the opposition more space (even with 10 men sometimes).

Maybe this is because of the type of substitutions Sam is making, or maybe it is the ethos that has been drilled into them.

Although we have improved at the back, we are still unable to keep a clean sheet.

So, let us avoid the insanity and concentrate more on moving forward and adding to our score, rather than dropping into our own area and giving the opposition more room and time to do likewise.

If we were to keep the same philosophy as we have in the rest of the game, then we might just have enough about us to stay in the Premier League and not have to worry about the insanity that has plagued us over and over.
