SUNDERLAND scouts were in Belgium last night, with teenage striker Obbi Oulare mooted to be the subject of their interest.

The Black Cats, along with Manchester United, Everton, Burnley, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Werder Bremen were all represented at Club Brugge’s 2-1 win over Anderlecht.

Sunderland have been actively looking for talent on the Continent over recent months ahead of their summer recruitment drive, with scouts spotted at games in the Spanish, Portugese and Dutch leagues.

It is rumoured that Oulare was the player being watched by the interested parties last night and the 19-year-old got on the scoresheet for Brugge after coming off the bench.

The Belgium Under-21 international has only just broken into the first-team picture at Brugge.
