ALAN Pardew has questioned the critics of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger – and says the North London club’s stadium should be named after him.
Pardew takes his Newcastle United side to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, with the two teams level on points in the Premier League.
Wenger has had his position questioned in recent weeks, but Pardew says the Frenchman has done an “unbelievable job” with the Gunners.
The Newcastle boss is hoping for a tight game on Saturday.
He said: “Arsene Wenger has done an unbelievable job at Arsenal and in some ways their stadium should be named after him.
“Arsenal has not been a happy hunting ground for us in recent years. The games at St James’s Park have been tight and we hope this one is too.”
