FORMER Sunderland midfielder Bolo Zenden is attracting the attention of new Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren.
Ex-England manager McClaren worked with Zenden during at Middlesbrough and hopes he can persuade the 34-year-old to drop into the Championship.
Zenden left the Stadium of Light at the end of last season after becoming frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities.
There are unlikely to be a shortage of suitors for the former Dutch international after he played an influential role in helping Sunderland win two of their final three games last season.
QPR are also thought to be monitoring Zenden although a move to Forest would allow him to link up with another former Sunderland midfielder, Andy Reid, who returned to his old club on a free transfer last week.
