SUNDERLAND are hunting a replacement for Darren Bent, but it won’t be Robbie Keane.
Black Cats chairman Niall Quinn - a former team-mate of Keane with the Republic of Ireland - insists his old striker partner is not on the radar.
“Robbie doesn’t quite suit us now,” he told KildareTV. “Robbie works well off a big physical player, but we don’t have that now. What (Asamoah) Gyan and (Danny) Welbeck need is a physical presence, like Darren.”
Sunderland are chasing Aston Villa’s John Carew and Stoke’s Ricrado Fuller.
