MOUSSA Sissoko has revealed he wants to leave Newcastle United for a “big club” – just days after reaffirming his commitment to Newcastle.
Sissoko, in an interview with French TV show Telefoot, also suggested he was keen on a move to Arsenal.
The 25-year-old midfielder has arguably been Newcastle’s best player so far this season.
And Sissoko’s comments will do nothing to dampen the speculation surrounding his future, and there are fears on Tyneside that he will be sold in this month’s transfer window.
He said: “My dream is to go to a big club.
“Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.
“The transfer window is open – I know that I could leave at any moment – but I am not thinking about it.
“If something is supposed to happen it will happen and if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. I will continue to work hard. I don’t know when.”
Asked if he wanted to stay in England, Sissoko added: “Yes.
“If he calls (Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger), I will have a man to man discussion with him, and then we will see what happens.”
Earlier this week, Sissoko took to Twitter after Paris Saint-Germain were linked with a move for him.
He tweeted: “I’m a professional player and I stay focused on my team NUFC #DontListenToRumours.”
Sissoko joined Newcastle from Toulouse two years ago.
