MAN of the moment Rolando Aarons says he can’t put his emotions into words after scoring a stunning first goal for Newcastle United.
The winger netted in today’s 3-1 win over Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen.
Aarons – who also set up Emmanuel Riviere’s opening goal – scored at the Veltins Arena with a cross-cum-shot.
And United manager Alan Pardew said the 18-year-old’s emergence over the past few weeks was the “highlight” of the club’s pre-season so far.
Aarons told of his joy on Twitter after the game.
He tweeted: “Words can’t describe how I feel now, my first of hopefully many goals for newcastle!
“Honoured to have played at the stadium #TooSurreal.”
Jamaican-born Aarons – who jolined Newcastle from Bristol City two years ago – signed a professional deal at United late last season.
