ALAN Pardew will not give up on misfiring Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse.
Cisse has struggled for form all season, with his only Premier League goal coming from the penalty spot.
The 28-year-old missed a clear-cut chance in last weekend’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa, after being set up by Loic Remy.
Manager Pardew, whose side visit Hull City in the Premier League tomorrow, still believes Cisse can come good before the end of the season.
“Papiss isn’t the type to blame anyone – he looks to himself,” Pardew said.
“He’s obviously desperate for a goal, and that could kick-start him.
“This weekend he might have the opportunity to do that.
“I certainly hope he does. I think he’s a good guy, and he’s done well for us.
“We want to get him back playing at his best again.”
