NEWCASTLE United are not interested in signing Everton’s unsettled defender Johnny Heitinga.
The 30-year-old has turned down a transfer-window move to West Ham United.
And Jack Sullivan – the son of the club’s co-owner David – claimed on Twitter that Heitinga was destined for St James’s Park..
But it is understood that Heitinga is not a target for Newcastle, who could be without captain Fabricio Coloccini for six weeks.
Heitinga – who is out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer – hasn’t made a Premier League appearance for Everton this season.
