Newcastle United striker Peter Lovenkrands is wanted by his former manager Chris Hughton at Birmingham City, according to reports, writes Daniel Prince.
Lovenkrands, 32, is out of contract at the end of the season and could be set for a loan spell at St Andrews before becoming a free agent in the summer.
It is thought the Danish international is willing to see out his contract at St James’ Park, but it remains to be seen whether he will be tempted by a reunion with Hughton.
Lovenkrands has found playing time limited this season and he could find it even more difficult to break into the team after the signing of Papiss Demba Cisse.
Wolves have also been credited with an interest in Lovenkrands, who joined Newcastle in 2009.
