DEFENDER Andre Bikey is desperate for Middlesbrough to follow up Tuesday’s vital win over Leeds when they travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Boro ended a five-match losing sequence when Curtis Main’s strike saw off Neil Warnock’s side at the Riverside, getting the Teessiders’ promotion challenge back on track.
But Bikey knows that Boro must continue to pick up wins, especially against the likes of promotion rivals Palace.
He said: “We had lost five games and that was a bad record for us, a bad moment, but now the bad run is over.
“But we can not be happy yet. There is still a long way to go. We know what we have to do. Now we have to do the same in the next game at Crystal Palace.
“And at Burnley. But if we play like that we can beat anyone.”
Boro had to scrap all the way to claim all three points against old rivals Leeds, bit Bikey enjoyed the battle.
“Sometimes you don’t get to play much football and you must just battle to win the game,” he added.
“We did that. There wasn’t much quality but we got the points and that is all that matters. They came to battle and we knew that. It was a fight, a proper fight.
“Once we realised that was how the game was going to be, we showed we could battle too. We showed we had great heart. I enjoyed that. And I tried very hard to motivate my team-mates.”
