Seaham Red Star Reserves will make a third attempt to play their Durham FA Trophy quarter-final tie against Wolviston at Seaham Town Park tomorrow (1.30pm).

The good news for manager Don Naylor is that he will have a full-strength squad standing by. Brothers Callum and Connor Short and Brandon Moran are available and the enforced break has enabled Adam Hepple to regain full fitness.

Last week’s postponement was beneficial to Wolviston, who would have gone into the game without five regular players, who all went down with an illness on the morning of the match.

Secretary Keith Simpson reports that they are now back to full fitness and the only doubt surrounds defender John Shepherd, who is struggling to shake off a hamstring injury.

Silksworth CW will play their Durham FA Trophy quarter-final tie with Stockton West End on Saturday, January 2, when the league programme recommences.
