SUNDERLAND SUNDAY LEAGUE: Taylor helps himself to seven goals as The Lansdowne punish Willow Pond

The Lansdowne went goal crazy and showed no mercy over the poor Willow Pond in an absolute 13-2 hammering in the First Division.

Luke Taylor was on fire bagging seven goals himself and Rhys Jukes hit a brace.

Smith and Bulmer managed to pull goals back for the Willow, but the Lansdowne still managed to hit another four goals, thanks to Alderson, Dean Gordon, Tyson and Forster.

The Royal Marine should have won this clash against The Board Inn, but for poor finishing. The Board Inn took advantage and had Dagg, Houghton and Micky Wharton on target. The Royals had Gingell and Peter Marshall replying.

The Jolly Potter’s poor run of First Division form continued after The Ashbrooke Sports Club put them to the sword in a 6-3 win.

Dodd, Webster and Ridley found the net for the Potters and Hope-Hindmarsh, Stead, Swinney and a hat-trick from Jordan Ridley all replied for Ashbrooke.

A Paul Laws red card didn’t dampen Hendon’s spirits as they earned a 3-2 win over Ryhope Top House.

Ackroyd, Redpath and Martin Thompson scored for Hendon to cancel out Winthrop and Paul Brooke goals.

It was another easy win for the Victoria Gardens as they turned the Redhouse Last Orders over with ease, winning 8-0.

Martin Hope (3), Callum Hope (2), Wright, Jacob and Campbell did the damage.

Goal machines TC Plastics were at it again as they smashed seven past the hapless Oddies side.

The Plasticmen had Devlin, Powell, Morris, Tench, Luke Bell, Corey Bell and an own goal to boot.

Grangetown Florists came out on top in their Premier League clash against The Ashbrooke, winning 8-4.

Chris Hunter didn’t help matters as he saw red for the home side.

McGeorge and Atkinson (3) scored for The Ashbrooke, but they are still rooted to the foot of the league.

Florists were on fire as Andy Place (3), John Turvey (4) and James Witheat completed the victory.

O’Brien’s Waste Recycling and TS Potters played out a 1-1 draw as Alan Bates scored for Potters, but Michael Conlon drew O’Briens level.

SR Dons kept the pressure on the top two with a 4-0 win over Ryhope Forresters.

They hit four goals without reply courtesy of efforts from Lee Charlton, Guthrie, Heron and Chris Laws. Adam Harrison shone throughout for the Ryhope side

Myers moved out of the bottom three after beating Paragon in a nine-goal thriller. Davey Sanderson capped a captain’s performance with a double. Paragon hit back to level things with a Danny Prater brace.

James Baxter scored two to give Myers the advantage and Ryan Hodgson hit their fifth.

Silksworth hit back with another two goals from Lynn and George McCain, but they couldn’t quite find the equaliser.

Hylton Castle produced an excellent performance to beat Farringdon ISL 5-2.

The brilliant Marc Moon ran the Farra defence ragged and scored twice, and Kev Gordon made it 3-0.

Farra hit back with a Brett Gillat goal, but TWR replied through Callum Hodgson.

Luke Richardson reduced the deficit, but Hylton were too strong and were rampant in the final stages of the game and a further goal from Jonny Atkinson sealed the win.
