Striker Natalie Gutteridge has left Sunderland Ladies and joined neighbours Durham Women.
The 26-year-old has been furstrated by lack of game time with the Lady Black Cats after fighting back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
She had a great time with Sunderland, winning Premier League championships and the League Cup in 2012 when her two headed goals sealed a 2-1 final triumph over Leeds United.
“It has been a very difficult time in terms of the injury,” she said.
“When it became obvious that my chances would be limited at Sunderland, the move to Durham was something that I was really keen to make.
“When you’ve been out for so long with injury, it’s important to have the opportunity to play in matches.”
“I’ll be supporting the girls by attending as many games as I can and really hope the team can continue their great start to the season.”
