IT wasn’t a good night for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light but it was for Sunderland RCA - even though they didn’t have a game.
Team Northumbria, who occupy the last relegation place in the Ebac Northern League First Division, lost 5-3 to Dunston UTS and the Wearsiders remain four points ahead of their rivals with a game in hand.
Lee McAndrew and Jonny Wightman fired Dunston into a two-goals lead but an own goal and one from Chris Moore threw Team a lifeline.
UTS though finished strongly, scoring three times through Dan Wilson, Wightman and Andy Bulford in the space of four minutes.
Tom Chippendale claimed a late third goal for Team who remain embroiled in the relegation dogfight.
