RYHOPE CW aim to finish what has been another outstanding season by completing the double when they visit Stockton Town tomorrow for the final of the Wearside League Cup.
Already, the Wearsiders have clinched the title and lifted the Sunderland Shipowners and Monkwearmouth Charity Cups. They are on course to replicate last season’s achievement when they clinched the title and the three domestic cup competitions.
A blow to manger Martin Swales is the news that Ross Stead and Dean Arkley are definitely ruled out of tomorrow’s final and in addition, he will need to assess the fitness of Nathan Johnson before finalising his line-up.
A close result is anticipated. Stockton Town have ended third top behind runners-up Redcar Athletic.
Ashbrooke Belford House will finish in mid table if they win their last two games, starting at Cleator Moor Celtic but boss Tommy Dobbing is without six players.
Paul Robertson, Jake Moan, Lewis Hutchinson, Lee Andrews, Stuart Burton and Michael Melmoe are non-starters but fortunately captain Kenny Taylor, Brett Wilson and Glen Moan can make the journey into Cumbria.
Next Wednesday, Ashbrooke host Boldon CA and Cleator Moor are at home to Coxhoe Athletic. The two fixtures complete the season’s programme.
