SILKSWORTH’S hopes of moving out of the bottom three in the Wearside League were dealt a blow at Welfare Park last night when Wolviston came from behind to win 3-1.
Steven Smith’s side made a dream start, scoring after just 12 minutes as James Gilhespy beat debutant goalkeeper Daniel Jeffery.
Wolviston quickly hit back, though, scoring three times in five minutes.
Steve Kilpatrick levelled with a fine solo effort on 16 minutes and a minute later, David Aninakwah left goalkeeper Anthony Mustard helpless with a 25-yard dipping shot.
Four minutes afterwards and Silksworth went further behind when Aninakwah did the spadework for Kilpatrick to slot home from 10 yards.
