HYLTON CW secured a second successive Durham Alliance League win last night, but they were flattered by a 7-2 success against battling Wheatley Hill WMC.

Jonny Evans and left-back Kieron Stokoe netted in two dramatic minutes to spark Hylton, with Kyle Sumner, Mark Curry, Liam Gill (2) and Neil Blue all on target. Wheatley deservedly grabbed two consolation goals, courtesy of Shaun Jackson and Brett Carr.

Murton lost 3-1 to Durham Stonebridge, while a youthful Brandon British Legion side were impressive 5-1 winners at champions Coundon & Leeholme.
