RYHOPE CW aim to complete a double at home to Jarrow tonight and try to maintain their two-point lead at the top of the Wearside League.
Martin Swales’ side regained pole position at the weekend, but a double blow is the news strikers John Butler and Paul Taylor are both sidelined.
Swales will announce his line-up shortly before kick-off, with James Dunn and Richard Jordan coming into contention.
Jarrow are fifth and player-manager Peter Kirkham has recovered from a groin injury. David Southern, cup-tied on Saturday, is also available, as is goalkeeper Chris Hope.
Ashbrooke Belford House face third-placed Willington at Hall Lane and once again manager Tommy Dobbing is forced into naming a severely depleted squad.
Captain Kenny Taylor, Glen Moan, Martin Deacon, Mark Green and David Scott are definitely out. Fortunately, Alan Young and Stephen Dickinson can play.
Willington are in an even worse predicament, with six players sidelined through injuries.
Graham Lazonby, Daniel Lee, Reece Marshall, Gareth Matthews and Andrew Richardson could return in the near future, but James Seymour is awaiting an operation.
Peterlee Town host Stockton Town, with manager Don Naylor awaiting news on the fitness of Hayden Pace and Adam Croft while leading scorer David Laight is suspended. In addition, Peterlee will be without a number of players who are working.
Sunderland West End are at Boldon CA, where manager David Bond will be looking to grind out a result.
He said: “Our recent performances have been good, but we haven’t gained the points and we’ve got to make sure we turn superiority into account.”
Shaun Clemence is set to play his second game in goal for Boldon CA, who are hopeful top scorer Chris Robinson and full-back Michael Wright will be able to turn out.
Second-top Redcar Athletic will attempt to keep the pressure on Ryhope CW by defeating Darlington Cleveland Bridge.
