Nine new clubs have joined the Sunderland Sunday League for the 2015-16 season, but the league has been rocked by the loss of Humbledon & Plains Farm.

Plainsy, FA Sunday Cup winners in 2013-14 and Premier Division champions for four successive years (losing just three of their 80 league games) under the astute management of Steven Hutchinson, have folded, with many of their players moving on to other clubs in the league.

The nine new teams, who all kick off in the Fourth Division, are: Victoria Gardens, East Rainton, Park View, The Saltgrass, Woodlands, Hendon Athletic, Wearmouth CW Juniors, Sunderland Top House and Westmount.

The new season kicks off on Sunday, August 16.
