THORNLEY Harry’s Bar lifted the Cyril Dunn Memorial Cup – the league’s first silverware of the season – with a 2-1 final win over Easington Welfare.
John Davies gave Thornley an interval lead, but Welfare impressed on the restart and deservedly levelled with a strike from sub Ian Rickaby.

Gary Shaw’s hat-trick, plus goals from Michael Cain and Daryl Evans, steered Helford home 5-0 against Horden CW Supporters Club, while Dean Fox’s brilliant hat-trick helped Wingate defeat Easington CIU 3-1, with sub Sean McAndrew replying.
Horden Comrades have been relegated from the Premier Division, following their 5-0 drubbing at Seaham Island Club – a huge disappointment after successive title triumphs.
Paul Atkinson (2), Andrew Beer, Dave Gill and sub John Mitchell guided Island to their convincing victory.
The other relegation place looks between Easington Lane WMC and Peterlee Catholic Club, who are level on 14 points. Catholic crucially have two extra games to play.
