The Philadelphia turned on the style to secure their first win of the Third Division season, thumping Sedgefield Black Lion 5-0.

The opener came after just 15 minutes, Alan Jones latching onto a pass on the edge of the area and advancing to fire under the keeper.

Star man Andrew Bainbridge jinked past three players to notch a fine second, then Jones added a third after more good approach play.

Phili stood firm as Lion tried to rally, then Neil Martin made it 4-0, curling a left-foot strike into the top corner. Mark Nixon finished the scoring at 5-0, netting from a Jones pass on the counter-attack.

Rolls-Royce drew 2-2 with Oddies, while Willow Pond lost 4-1 in another Sunderland derby, against table-toppers Blue House,

Red House WMC beat Penshaw CC 3-0 in the Premier, while Steels King Bros lost 3-1 to old rivals Hartlepool Touchdown.
