On-song Belford get Green for go

ASHBROOKE Belford House climbed into the top half of the Wearside League table with last night’s comprehensive 3-0 victory over Kirkbymoorside, writes MALCOLM PRATT.

Stephen Callan opened the scoring on 21 minutes, with Mark Green adding a free-kick nine minutes later.

The Yorkshiremen rarely threatened Tommy Dobbing’s men and Green ensured a second successive Belford victory on 70 minutes.

Boldon CA pipped Leam Rangers 3-2, thanks to Jack Lawton, Chris Hammel and David Conroy, but Leam rued Liam Charlton’s penalty failure. David Ridley and Dale Bell (penalty) cut the deficit.

Hartlepool led 2-0 before being pegged back for a 3-3 draw by Darlington Cleveland Bridge, while third-top Stockton Town cruised home 5-1 at Prudhoe Town.
