SEAHAM Red Star hit Chester-le-Street for six to move into sixth place in Division Two.

Daniel Taggart tapped in Birtley’s opener on 34 minutes and right on the stroke of half-time, Kevin Connolly lobbed goalkeeper Jordan Parker for the equaliser.
Heaton Stannington, promoted from the Northern Alliance, moved to the top of the table when Jonathan Wright scored the only goal against Tow Law Town seven minutes from time. The Tynesiders had captain Joe Weir sent off a minute earlier.
Jarrow Roofing just edged Whickham by the odd goal in seven with Andy Appleby (2), Glen Leighton and Liam McBryde, who re-signed for Roofing from Whitley Bay before the game, on the mark. Mark Fitzpatrick, Anthony Falcon and Kevin Leighton (og) replied.
Kevin Hamilton converted a penalty to cancel out Adam Sharp’s goal for South Shields and earn Brandon United a point, while Esh Winning crashed 6-0 at Northallerton Town, whose match-winners were Jamie Clarke (2), Danny McLachlan (2), Darren Kokes and Grant Hickman.
