HORDEN CW moved into third position in the Wearside League thanks to a 2-0 victory at Hartlepool on Saturday.

Paul Moss and Michael Kane (penalty) were the match winners for Keith Brown’s side, getting back to winning ways after a 2-0 defeat at Boldon CA in their previous league outing.

Stockton Town look as if they will take some stopping in their bid for a third consecutive championship.

Kallum Hannah and Tony Johnson (2) swept them to a 3-0 victory at home to Annfield Plain and the Teessiders are now nine points ahead of closest rivals Easington Colliery.

Until recently, Jarrow propped up the table but they are now fourth from the basement following a hard-earned 2-1 victory over Prudhoe Town, courtesy of goals from Liam Bayles and Peter Kane. Mark Bayles equalised for Prudhoe at 1-1.
