SILKSWORTH CW have only seven games to play in the Wearside League and six of them are away from home, starting at Harton and Westoe tonight.

Manager Mark McGinley was buoyed by the Wearsiders’ performance in the local derby against Ashbrooke Belford House last Friday night and is looking for his players to end the season on a high.

The Colliers’ chances of coming out on top on South Tyneside are enhanced with the return of Glen Hargrave and Neil Jones but the injured Craig Lines is forced to sit out the match.

Victory would lift Silksworth into eighth place, level on points with Richmond Town.

Harton and Westoe were disappointed with their performance at the weekend when they were held to a draw by Boldon CA.

They miss injured pair Danny Symington and Jack Lawton while work commitments prevent Rudi Van De Lang from playing. Fortunately, Finbar Lynch and Paul Burrell are ready to resume.

Ashbrooke Belford House are at Boldon CA and joint manager Asa Dobbing reports that a quartet of players are sidelined.

Stephen Bogie, Lewis Hutchinson, Ian Potts and Shaun Petch are ruled but Mark Green comes into the reckoning.
