Sherburn led until the closing stages at the Billy Hardy Complex when Oddies managed an equaliser, but the Wearsiders were sunk by a last-minute winner.

Still, the season has been a triumph for Oddies, who won 25 of their 30 games to win the title by 14 points. They beat Sherburn home and away in the league too, winning 3-1 and 2-1 respectively.

Sherburn finished their league programme in fifth place with a 5-5 draw at Killingworth YPC on Monday, with Glenn Hendrix firing all five goals.
