FOLLOWING back-to-back wins when they scored seven goals and conceded just once, Ashbrooke Belford House lost at the weekend and manager Tommy Dobbing is anxious his team returns to winning form in tonight’s Wearside League game against Cleator Moor Celtic at Silksworth.
“There was only one goal in it with Easington on Saturday but the defeat prevented our upward climb in the table.” observed Dobbing.
“Cleator Moor are just a place and one point below us so we should be in with a chance and victory would move us to ninth top.”
Ashbrooke are without the injured Lewis Hutchinson through injury and Martin Deacon, who is working.
The availability of David Scott is in doubt but Dobbing is hopeful that Brian Smiles, Lee Collins and Mark Egglestone will be able to play.
Easington Colliery will move into the top half of the table if they win at Redcar Athletic. Rhys Williams will need a late check on his fitness but defender Craig Garthwaite is a definitely absentee through suspension.
Coxhoe Athletic have Ross Hodgson, Anth Phillips and Stephen Robinson but work commitments prevent John Cook from playing at Darlington Cleveland Bridge who welcome the return of John McKie but Nev Fuller is banned.
Willington, the only unbeaten side with 14 wins and a draw, have the opportunity to close the gap on leaders Richmond Town to just a couple of points when they line up with Stockton Town at Hall Lane.
