PETERLEE Town aim to continue their steady rise in the Wearside League table – but they won’t find it easy against Sunderland West End.

Manager Don Naylor has injury concerns for captain Darren Major, John Pile and Paul Moss, but Stephen Hockaday is expected to return.

West End boss David Bond is looking for revenge. He said: “We gave our worst performance of the season losing a recent cup tie to Peterlee and tomorrow’s game gives us the opportunity to redress the balance. Fortunately, I’ve got a full strength squad to choose from.”

The same cannot be said for Ashbrooke Belford House, who miss captain Kenny Taylor, Stuart Burton and Mark Green at Boldon CA.

Fortunately, manager Tommy Dobbing adds David Scott and Glen Moan to his team-sheet.

Boldon CA are optimistic that leading scorer Chris Robinson, who has missed the last two games, will spearhead the attack.

Silksworth Rangers host Willington unable to call upon goalkeeper Adam Don, who broke his nose in last week’s game. John McLean will deputise and manager Keith Stafford welcomes the availability of Michael Renshaw.

Willington, whose 10-match unbeaten sequence came to an end last Saturday, have injury concerns for several players.

Andrew Richardson (knee) and Gareth Matthews (ankle) are definite absentees while Steve Howe, Shaun Brown and Wayne Dobinson are considered doubtful.

Ryhope CW hope to at long last play at the Recreation Ground. Work on improving the facilities has taken longer than expected but secretary Dougie Benison is confident the all clear will be given for the visit of Wolviston.

Manager Martin Swales awaits news on the availability of Callum Charlton and James Dunn. David Newby is sidelined but Nathan O’Neil and Paul Taylor come into his plans.

Redcar Athletic, who will again apply for promotion to the STL Northern League, go to Gateshead Leam Rangers, while Hartlepool could give a start to Paul Vickers against Prudhoe Town who have a fully fit pool of players on standby.
