SUNDERLAND West End and Silksworth CW shared the spoils in a hard-fought derby – one of only three Wearside League games to get the go-ahead.
Barry Turton fired West End in front at Ford Quarry, but he then missed a penalty before Dan Martin levelled for third-top Silksworth.
Easington Colliery are second-top, two points behind leaders Stockton Town, after David Paul (2), Adam Drysdale and Paul Wintrip netted in the 4-2 win at home to Leam Rangers, who scored first and last through Anthony Huddart and Leon Kane.
There’s still no stopping Stockton Town and they made it nine consecutive victories with an eight-goal blast of lowly Harton and Westoe.
Amazingly, the first half was goalless but, once they got their noses in front, Stockton were rampant and the goals flowed from Matthew Garbutt (2), Kallum Hannah (2), Chris Stockton (2), Adam Nicholson and Matthew Jamieson.
