ASHBROOKE Belford House surrendered a two-goal lead and had to come from behind to gain draw 3-3 with Cleator Moor Celtic in last night’s Wearside League game at Silksworth, writes MALCOLM PRATT.

Celtic’s Leigh Dunn missed a sixth-minute penalty before Belford’s Luke Richardson converted a spot-kick opener past goalkeeper Craig Devine.

Lee Andrews doubled the lead with an overhead kick, but Tommy Dobbing’s side were rocked as Dunn (2) and Ryan Hall scored in the space of six minutes.

With only five minutes remaining, Stephen Bogie capped a fine debut when a tremendous shot levelled it up.

Vinny Gash and Kyle Scott had Coxhoe Athletic two up inside 19 minutes at Darlington Cleveland Bridge, and they held on to win 2-1, with Daniel McLachlan replying.

Willington’s unbeaten record ended when Stockton Town won the top-three clash at Hall Lane 2-1. Dean Hanson fired Willington ahead, but Tom Atkinson’s brace saw Stockton leapfrog their hosts into second place.

Easington Colliery’s game at Redcar Athletic was postponed because of ongoing problems with Green Lane’s new floodlights.
